What Surfaces can be Protected with an Anti-Graffiti Product?

Almost any porous or non-porous surface can be treated with an Anti-Graffiti Coating. Crystal SP can treat porous surfaces such as concrete, bricks and stone paving through to non-porous road and rail infrastructure such as sign.

Finishes can be clear, matt, gloss or even incorporated into paint with a selection of colours available. On concrete and porous surfaces, there is no visible indication that the surface has been treated apart from that graffiti can be easily removed.

Types or Anti-Graffiti Coatings
• Sacrificial and Non-Sacrificial are the 2 types of Anti-Graffiti Coatings. Crystal SP uses only Non-sacrificial Coatings.
• Sacrificial means single use. Once graffiti is removed, so is the coating and it will require another application.
• Non-Sacrificial means that the coating permanently bonds with the surface to which its applied and will not be removed in the process of removing any graffiti. Non sacrificial coatings are best for treatment of repeat area’s where graffiti can be removed again and again without requiring re-application.
• Crystal Surface Protection only uses Non-sacrificial Anti-Graffiti Coatings.
• Our coatings are chemical resistant, meaning graffiti cleaners will attack the graffiti but not harm the coating that is protecting the substrate.

Where can Anti-Graffiti Coatings greatly benefit users?
• Road signs are number 1. The sign doesn’t need to be replaced, graffiti can easily be removed time and time again. This saves the owner of the asset cost of replacement and it is also much easier and less labour intensive than replacing them each time.
• The signs will also be UV resistant and will not fade or deteriorate over time.
